The City of Louisville Fire Department does more than provide fire protection, rescue and EMS services to Louisville residents. Members of the Fire Department are also active in the school system, providing Fire Safety Education to all grade levels. Members also perform fire and building inspections and provide trainings for the public.

FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Applicants must possess and maintain a Firefighter II certification and a Paramedic certification.

We are a part-time paid-on-call Department that is responsible for EMS, fire suppression, fire prevention, and other various public services. We offer paid training, paid public events, holiday pay, comp time, and health care if qualified. We currently have 2 members that staff the station 24 hours a day and others respond from home when available. We respond to approximately 1600 calls per year of EMS, fire, and public service.
